Yes I did, Infact you were probably going in the hospital as I was going out and we were probably on the same floor ! I had Dr Fass as a doc . Saw Dr Faulkenberry when i was in the hospital. You need to call them if you have not . I was A band to sleeve converstion had problems with excessive swelling post op due to the band. I was in the hospital for 5 days unable to keep liquids down . Email me if you want mtolbert9201@gmail.com , But call the office and let them know you are having issues, if they are concerened they will re abmit ya ,

I was a band to sleeve conversion, but my conversion happened 30 days from each other. I wanted it all in one shot, but my Dr warned against it. For the first two days i was in pain, vomiting felt like poop. I couldn't tolerate a spoon of Water. Needless to say i ended up in ICU on the second day severely dehydrated. Keep trying the fluids, broths etc what ever your Dr instructs. Some Drs allow Protein Drinks, mine doesn't. The 24th marks one month out for me. It does get better but for me it was and still is a difficult journey. Keep in touch

I'm just at the beginning.....just started the "insurance required doctor supervised diet" part. I'm sort of shooting for around March or April. I go for my first consult with Dr. Faulkenberry on Dec 4th. I live and work in Austin. That being said - I think Mindy is giving excellent advice. I'm older than y'all by quite a bit, and am a big believer in communication with your Doctor. You two are partners in this journey and he can't be the best partner possible if you aren't keeping him in the loop.

Sending major positive ju-ju your way, girl. Keep us up to date.

Kaj

I feel the same way , although its getting a little better. My doc told me as long as I am keeping liquids down he is fine ... But i have to kind of do a 2 steps foreward one step back thing. I hope you start to feel better soon, The one thing i have not had since my band and hernia were removed is refulx !

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
