If you have a chance; take a look at my blog....I post every Sunday and have for the past year....will stop in a couple of weeks, but it will give you an idea of what to expect. If you can't see the link to my blog on this it means you don't have signatures turned on and you should do that; it's helpful to see what others have in their signatures. Good luck!

Good morning! Hope everyone had a nice Christmas! To Finallymj: for my blog best to start at www.queenofcrop.com/about From there you can start at the beginning in October of 2011 and go forward, or read the last post. I post every Sunday but this next Sunday will be my last for a while. Also, be sure you have youg Signatures turned 'ON" in your settings on this forum. The reason is so you can see the links to people's blogs in each post, and their ticker tapes if they have one.

Good luck everyone....you are all in for a FABULOUS journey!!!!

Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a great holiday!! Sorry I've been off the map sense then! A little update on me.. I have my last appointment for my 90 pre required visits on February 21st! Had my sleep study on Friday the 18th, get my results next Thursday the 31st, so I will find out if I have apnea or not! But then I will just need to wait ,-) once I have my appointment on the 21st, they will submit for approval, I don't need the co morbitities because of my bmi and my doctors office has only had 3 denials in the past 2 years, and they even have an on staff mediator person who will fight your insurance if it is denied so, still hoping all goes well with approval process. So as of yesterday I have 30 days until my submission! I joined the gym and have been going approx 3 times a week for an hour each visit. Other then that, just living and working. ;-)

I might of written that funny! My insurance requires 90 days of pre required nutrition visits. So it's one visit a month so three visits and then the 4th and final required visit is on or a few days after my 90 days! Basically I meet with my nutritionist and we set goals and talk about eating better and what not. It's easy just long process!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
