My surgery is November 20th and I can't wait! I feel like my life is on hold until then. I have a wonderful husband and a great life but I hate the way that I look and I'll let it limit me so much. I want to start letting myself fully enjoy life, and be happy with myself. I of course have my fears......complications.....regain....failure...will it work for me? But I have never doubted this is what I need to do since I made the decision to have surgery. I'm 3 weeks I will be starting my 1 week liquid preop diet! I wouldn't mind skipping that part! Lol..but it will all be worth it.

My surgery date is November 20 too. I start my pre-op diet on November 6...I have 2 weeks of the diet. I am a single mother of a 12 year old. I am very excited for this life changing event. I can't wait to go on bike rides with my son. Do you have to have the upper GI and EGD? When is yours scheduled? I'm having mine on October 30 and my nutrition/case management classes on Nov 5...30 day countdown to surgery!!!

Yay! Sleeve sisters! I did have an upper GI already, and I had to attend a nutrition class and support group session. I also had to have a pysch eval. I don't have to have an EGD so I have met all my requirements. I have my preop appointment Nov 5th and then I am ready to go! The count down is on! So 2 weeks of liquid diet preop? I think that is going to b the hardest part for me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
