Have you had a leak test yet?

I would insist for a leak test and that they keep you long enough to get your pain under control. Or send you home with something to keep the pain tolerable. Dont settle for less!

Dont give up! It's only the beginning, things will heal! Some people just take a different route in getting well. I'm healing slowly too. Yesterday was my first day since surgery (10/25) that I got all my Protein consumed...still working on my Water...

This too shall pass, stay plugged in for support and keep your chin up!!

Dr took TPN away yesterday night even after I teied to tell him I'm still throwing up. I got sick last night in the middle if the night and really bad this morning. I'm frustrated I need to find a new dr. I can't use Good Samaritan cause I owe money. Dose any one have the name and number to the dr at Miami valley hospital in Dayton oh and can you tell me if he's good my dr just won't listen to me

I have a line infection so they pulled the pic the drs will not give me anything for pain. My surgeon even came in and said you have an infection and I agree you don't need anything for pain cause there is no source if pain :0) I'm laying here crying wishing I never did this stupid surgery!! I was trying to get better not sicker and why the hell didn't I just go to Miami valley hospital instead? I warn you all make sure you trust your dr . Because he's the one that should be standing by you to get better!!

You need to contact the hospital administrator immediately!!!! They should have a care line that you can call for someone to help you.

Hopefully this helps.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
