I am confused? So you had your revision? If so make sure you are eating very little sips/bites of food and eat slowly. Make sure you are not eating too much. I am 40 days out and have 4 ounces of shake or 2 ounces of chicken at a time. I had my revision on September 10th and couldn't be happier!

Drinking sips all day, drinking Protein Shakes, suger free popsicles, greek 100 yogurt in small bites. Bought applesauce to add today. Haven't had any chicken or solids. Stomach still cramps/hurts with these things.

I had a conversion from band to sleeve too. I'm 3 weeks out and still have discomfort from where my port was. My surgery was 7 hours because of a few reasons 1 being that the port was SO hard for the surgeon to get out. Hang in there, it gets better, just takes time. You will hear that a lot.

Now? I eat several small meals. I can only eat about 1/4 c of food at a time usually. In between those meals is when I try to get as much Fluid in as possible. Make sure you keep up your fluids or you will get dehydrated and that is AWFUL! I don't have problems with dairy as of now. Some people do, but so far I've lucked out. Once you get to soft food it gets easier, you start to get more energy. That's what I've noticed so far (that's where I'm at now). Are your still happy about your decision?

I am still very happy with my sleeve. Lots of band prblems at end and feel better with out it. I know that sounds weird with me still being in healing process but it is better than band. Thanks for your input. Any other advise or hints are welcome :)

:D

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
