Oh, man. I had a bit of a cold going into surgery and every time I get a cold, I get asthma. The only real problem I had in the hospital is that when I woke up in the recovery room they kept telling me that I wasn't breathing and to take deep breaths. It hurt quite a bit to take deep breaths and they decided to give me oxygen. Finally, after 2 or 3 hours I started breathing well enough for them to take me out of the recovery room and put me in my regular room. It was a little scary.

Ugh I feel for you, I had a cough after my c-section and that was no fun. What helped me was to hold a pillow tight to my stomach before coughing, not sure if that would help in your case but good luck!

Well, I'm 10 days post-op now and feeling great and my cold has pretty much gone and I'm breathing better than I have in a long time now. I've lost 7 pounds since surgery.

Thank you! I'll definitely be trying the pillow trick. Also glad you're feeling better.

I was sleeved 9/19 and I'm good now to sneeze or cough but I was scared to death I was going to the first week post op I thing I would have passed out. I actually sneezed the first time today and I was ok. I did almost swallow wrong in the hospital but I caught it with just enough that I could just clear my throat and be ok. I feel for you though. I hope you get better soon.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
