I have 2 pounds to go. I have been waking up every morning to see if I have hit 199. These 2 pounds are killing me. I hope I get to post soon saying I have done it. Wish me luck. I am going to try and eat very good today and tomorrow so I will reach this goal.

I don't think I will be the next but I am getting closer this morning I was 223 - I think that puts me only 7 more pounds to get there. A few weeks and I will be there.

I am always at least down 97 pounds. About twice a month I hit -98, and once I was 99. I would love to be the 100th member. Maybe this will inspire me to work my way over the 100 pound hump.

I'm going to be a proud future member. The 99 members have really reached a high mountain that only us banders understand what all it takes to accomplish this. People think just push away from the table but the hardest is the pushing away in the mind. The band doesnt do it all for us and I think I know the mental work that 100 lbs took. You all inspire me and I cant wait until I am in this club.

Yay! I have lost 101 pounds officially! I started out at 280 and weighed in at 179 on Friday of last week! Two years, and I finally am starting to feel like I don't look like the 280 pound person. It is hard, I still see her in the mirror a lot, but slowly my mind is catching up to reality.:)

I am new to this site (today is my first day) and I live in Oklahoma. I never considered any procedure other than the Lap Band, and my insurance would cover RnY, but not the Lap Band.:)

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
