I had my surgery exactly 2 weeks ago and lost 18 pounds the first week. The second week I havent lost a pound. What is going on? I was on Clear Liquids the first week and the second week I was on full liquids. I added a few things to my diet such as cream Soups and Protein Shakes. Im so disappointed. :( I have been stuck in the same number for a whole week....

18 lbs the first week is awesome. Don't be disappointed at all you are doing great. I'm 2 weeks shy of being 3 mths out and didn't lose a single lb until my 2nd week and only lost 2 lbs. Everybody is totally different with the weight loss and the way their body decides to change and at what pace. I had to lose 30 lbs to change clothing sizes where as some seem to fly thru sizes with 10-15 lbs loss.

We are sleeve sisters..I had my surgery 2 weeks ago today also...

18lbs is AWESOME...think about how long it would take you to lose18lbs if you were just dieting and not had surgery..... I kind of look at it theat way and it makes me feel much better. I am down 17.4 lbs since I started my clear liquid diet the Sat. before surgery...

How are you feeling otherwise? I am feeling really good...still just a little sore ut overall reall y good!!

I myself use INTEK Evolution, it's a whey isolate which is what the drs recommend, I scoop to about 4 ounces of Almond milk ( this is what I use) provides 34 grams of Protein, contains 160 calories 2 g carbs, 1 g of sugar. 2 shakes a day will get you to your required protein each day. At right at 3 months out 1 still take at least one shake a day and sometimes a second depending on how I did with my protein for the day. It mixes extremly well and is smooth. It is available at specialty nutrition stores and online. I really appreciate the fact that it doesnt require me to drink 8-12 oz's and the taste is something I can deal with and actually tolerate. I purchased several flavors so I don't burn myself out drinking the same thing day in and day out. It says you can mix with Water but I don't like the taste mixed with water.

I am drinking either EAS that you can buy at the grocery store...I only like the chocolate and it has to be really really cold. Or I order one from APEX it is a whey Lean Protein powder, 24 hour fitness sells it online. It has 22g of Protein and to me tastes really good. I think the key is to make them slushie cold in the freezer or a bit...

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
