September 6, 201213 yr I've heard lots of people say that after surgery, their tastes changed. Sometimes a food they liked before, they don't like anymore or vice versa. Has anyone ever heard WHY tastes change? I know mine certainly have, I'm just not sure why.
September 6, 201213 yr Author I don't think so. For example, decaf tea with Splenda. I drank that before and liked it. Now it just tastes really, really bitter.
September 6, 201213 yr Hmmmm. So far have not found that anything tastes different. It still tastes the same to me. I wish cakes, cookies, candy, chocolate and chips tasted disgusting to me, but no such luck!!!!!

September 6, 201213 yr My tastes have changed significantly. I'm 14 months post op. I love spicier and spicier food, hot sauce, etc. A total reversal. Wierd.
September 6, 201213 yr I am two months out. It is true. Your taste changes. First month is bad. Second month gets better. This 8th week is being great. A was 247 pounds and now I am 198 pounds. I can eat almost any thing. But I don't like food containing fat like pizza, I can't eat chesse any more. It's easier now to eat meat. But i am really happy with the sleeve. I really recomend it. ( pardon my English. I am from Mexico. )
