I know there's a program in Edmonton too. They are both different. With red deer you need to go to monthly weigh ins on top of all the test they do. You are required to loose 10% and keep a food journal that they check. Wait time varies on how you do.

Where do you live in Alberta?

I had mine done in Red deer. Started the program in January and was sleeved July 25

I brough a heating pad and it was really nice against a sore tummy or my shoulders

I was told for sleeve that we can never have a feeding tube so I do know people that have that on their medical bracelet

I'm 6 weeks post op and find that things taste different also

Oh boy, rice and tortilla definately not a good choice. Those should be months down the road.

I'm 4 week post op and it was the same for me. I tried cold,warm and hot water and still pain so I stopped drinking reg water. I was able to drink vitamin water. I tried again 2 days ago and no more pain

With a leak you usually have severe stomach pain.

Mine lasted about a week. It was awful. I switch between hot water bottle and bag of peas. Gas x strips also helped a little.

My first time was on day 6. Not much but still something. Since then its been diarrhea mostly.

I'm now 8 days post op and it takes me all day to get a water bottle size of protein shake in. The gas pain stated getting better about day 5-6. And I had my first bm day 6 and has since turned into diarrhea. Here at my clinic were on clear fluids for the first 2 weeks.
