When was your surgery? How long has the stall been? My stalls last a long time (three weeks) and then I lose. I am currently in one now and thinking of adding an extra Protein Shake. I also am not great with exercise and need to get better about that. I know that will help.

My stalls last around 2-3 weeks - gotten to where I don't really consider them stalls, just the way my body is losing and readjusting. Gone from size 24 to size 14 in 5/12 months 61 pounds since surgery. For some that's slow losing but for me - just right!

I do exercise - I make sure I walk at least 15 mins minimum everyday. Usually do alot more but that is the least I will do. 8-10 glasses of Water and 80-120 grams of Protein.

Just figure out your body and how it loses and make adjustments until you feel great!

Liberated sleeve is correct. This is your body readjusting to the big changes you have been going through. Measure your body and watch the difference in inches. This was my favorite time, seeing the inches come off. :)

Keep doing what you're doing and it WILL happen. Honest. Upping the exercise couldn't hurt though! Just might be the thing that helps it move. You're doing fine. ;) It is very frustrating getting through those periods though. I understand! (six week stall when i was 3 weeks out)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
