As for the chubby chaser thing, I always was thrilled to pick up really hot guys. I took me a while to figure out that these guys are only into larger men. I also know women like this. I like my guys a bit smaller and somewhat but not overly fem and asian and latino. Was talking to my gay counsin last month and he is into older hairy somewhat bigger men. We determined it is common for the gays to like oposite of yourself.

On another note, I ll be getting sleeve 10/8 and hoping I'll look hot again. Just renewed my passport and noticed how great I looked 10 years 80 pounds ago. I can't wait but am a bit scared. I like reading about peoples stories. Am hoping the scars are tiny and the loose skin not a big deal. Are scars or loose skin anyones least fav on here?

My scarring is very minimal although I do look like I have two belly buttons now from the incision where they did the removal. I think it is just because I already had some hanging skin in that area after having two C-sections and losing about 20 pounds before surgery. I know other people who have scars that are different than mine, same surgery, same surgeon. The scars are the least of my worries, that being said, I have had several surgeries and have many scars. I do battle with my self esteem and the sagging skin, however, all the time! It is still worth it though, every bit of it!! I figure I didn't look good at 265 pounds when I was naked. I don't look good at 145 pounds naked either but I look DAMN good in my clothes now. I'll take that trade off any day! :) Who's with me?

My favorite thing is how close my hubby and I are when we have sex. Every inch touches and we can kiss without padding in the way. I love that he can pick up all caveman, toss me around and throw me on the bed.

My least favorite is needing to buy a new wardrobe so often. I'm in the public eye, so I can't hide in yoga pants and tees and need to have multiple outfits that are suitable for public.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
