I Want To See Before & After Pics!

Recommended Posts

It's been a few months since I posted a pic, so why not! I'm sooo close to Onederland, I can't wait to get there! But NSV'S by the boatload on the journey to getting there, so I can't complain about that a bit! My current in progress pic is from today- date night with my husband "fiddleman". :)

Girl, you are looking fabulous! And you are married to "Fiddleman?" I love him!!!! :)

2+ years (26 months) post op here. Got to my lowest weight this past summer, but now starting to put some back on. I know some is muscle since I've been working out a lot, but I'm thinking not all of the weight gain is lean mass....which worries me a little. So I'm going to have to pay a little more attention to my cal intake and be careful. I'm up to around 235 now and I need to get back to mid-upper 220's and learn to maintain there.

#1 is before....around 320

#2 is after majority of weight loss (220's)

#3 is current (235)

Ok, I'm only seeing lean mass there. Holy cow, what an awesome difference. You've really bulked up! I agree -- 235 looks good on you.

Quick question, do any of you remember having really bad burning feeling on the inside like where the incisions are at one week post op? Every time I move it feels like a match is being held to my insides at the upper incision site.

Yes. Totally normal. You have sutures sewed from the inside and pulled really tight so they are going to hurt for awhile. My upper one in particular took months to stop hurting. Doctor said it was totally normal. I'm 6 months out and one of my lower ones still aches when pressure is applied to the area, she thinks it is because they cut threw an abdominal muscle on that side... ??

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
