One question I forgot to ask my surgeon...When can we have sex again? LOL Sorry for being so blunt about it, but what has everyone been told?

I was told two weeks, but everyone will tell you something different. Every doc has such different recommendations, all you can do is go with what yours told you. One thing you can count on...if it hurts...DON"T do it!

It seems the general consensus is "When you fell ready" and "Take it slow"

:)

My doctor told me 6 weeks but every dr is different.

I was told when I felt ready. I felt ready one week out :-)

I was careful and (tmi alert) went on all fours with a pillow under my belly for support.

4 weeks out was the guideline he gave me. I would also go doggie style with pillow for support!

I was 2 weeks out and my Dr. told me as long as he wasn't sitting on my stomach, it should be all good. Being on top was a little uncomfortable so we did it spoon style and doggie style at first. And yes, you will need a pillow for support especially if you guys are both really excited.

I was given no guideline but did it as soon as I was up to it, and only you know when that is! Listen to your body and go slow and you should be fine. ;)

The doctor told me at least 3 weeks but 4 days post op me and my hubby got randy and had no complications at all.

In fact, I think it helped!

At least wait till you're out of the recovery room :)

As others have said, "when you're ready". If it hurts then STOP. Find a position where it feels better or stop altogether and wait a day or two. If your partner absolutely needs attention then perhaps you would be willing to accommodate their relief in a "different" way then intercourse. I'll leave the details up to you.

We waited exactly two weeks and had no problem.

Great question, that actually my hubby has already asked in advance as I don't even have a sleeve date yet...lol!

Was told 4 weeks. Did it at two.

Lol thanks guys! Btw you crack me up with some of these responses lol.

I was told when I felt up to it. It was probably 1 week, yes 1 week that is how long it took for the fat cells to start releasing stored hormones into my system. Take it slow and careful and make sure that your partner realizes you aren't making any promises.
