Hello Everyone~ Especially the post op sleevers~ Do you find that you have more overall JOY now that you are sleeved and dropping the weight? As I look back the more weight I have gained the more angry and disgruntled I have become or maybe it's this Washington weather...lol :ph34r: ~ As I went to my pre op information session last week I noticed the energy in the room was extremely sad, depressed, and just low~ I was actually the only one in the room smiling from ear to ear because I have hope that the struggle is almost Over! I'm ready for a healthier less stressful ME~ Has Your MOOD changed in a more positive way? If yes, how so?

Also while waiting to be sleeved do you so in confidence or demise???? In other words are you beginning to change your thoughts and internal feelings about yourself NOW instead of waiting to be sleeved? {hope this makes sense to you ALL}

Thanks Sleevers~

T~ :wub:

Yes!!!! Overjoyed!!! I started at a miserable 399 lbs and now I'm a super happy 285 lbs! Even though I still have a good 90 lbs to goal I am so happy and so confident! I look good and I feel great. People have noticed my happier appearance and I'm happy to show it now. :)

I have SO much more joy! I'm more comfortable physically, more confident and have more peace about my health and appearance. I didn't start to feel better until after my surgery. It was hard for me to look ahead and anticipate how great I feel now. :)

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

      Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
