Sleeved 7/16/12

Hi everyone, surgery went well but I have sick since coming to my room yesterday at 1030am. Vomiting everything I put in my mouth, not keeping anything down. Very nauseated. Only walked twice yesterday to sick. Got to stay another night for iv fluids and iv pain meds. Had to go to specials for a Picc line after being stuck 15 times for Iv and labs. Hoping everyone else is doing well.

I got the patch behind my ear and they are alternating phnergan and zofran, it is not helping at all.

I am sorry to hear that. I always have a bad reaction to anesthesia. The only way to get over it is to flush out all the chemicals from your body by sipping liquids and walking. Have someone walk with you if you have to keep your eyes closed due to the nausea. I promise it doesget better.

Sorry to hear you're feeling so sick. Is your pain still the same as it was right out of surgery? Sometimes, it's the IV pain meds that cause nausea. Do you think you can try going longer without it, like if it's ordered every 4 hours, try going until 6 hrs before asking? If you can't, then you can't, but the sooner you're able to move around, the better you'll start to feel. Hope you feel better soon. Hugs
