So, I am 7 weeks out and I have been getting horrible headaches almost everyday. At first I thought it might have been caffeine withdrawals, but I assume since it's been out of my system for two months this can't be the case. I take chewable Advil and it helps for awhile. I never used to get headaches and am just wondering if any others had this symptom.

How much Fluid are you drinking every day? Dehydration is known to cause headaches. If I don't drink a minimum of 64oz or so I get them.

My surgeon said with my Sleeve I can not take Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen or Aspirin since they increase the risk of a leak or bleed. Have you tried chewable or liquid Tylenol. This is what my surgeon will allow me to take. I don't know if it will help your headache, but I was concerned when you mentioned Advil.

Where can you find liquid Tylenol? I've been to Target and Walgreens and both say that it's not made anylonger. Not sure if that is true or not.

Just bought some at CVS.

The name brand Tylenol was recalled. However Tylenol is Acetaminophen. Walgreens, and others, still carry the genetic Acetaminophen. I just checked with the Walgreens I use and they have the liquid and Melt-away strips in their brand. I am not sure if these are in the Children or Adult section, but the Pharmacist would be able to discuss dosages with you.

I get headaches when I don't sleep enough or eat enough. Could the drastic change in your diet be causing them? Are you back to sleeping regularly or is discomfort keeping you up? That could be your culprit. And yes, be sure you're getting enough liquids because dehydration is a real worry for a while after surgery.

I could never find adult Tylenol, heard it was discontinued (do not know why) -- so bought children's and it worked for me with aches and pains, not headaches. I was advised to not take NSAIDS while the stomach was healing. But my surgeon allowed me to start taking small does at two months out, and I've done fine with the occasional ibuprofen (400mg) for pain and menstrual cramps. But just like with a normal stomach, it's not good to "eat that stuff like candy" using it daily or in high doses -- and definitely not on an empty stomach. That will mess up any stomach, normal or small. I was told (by a few doctors) that chronic NSAID abuse can actually lead to the stomach producing less acid, causing digestive issues down the line.

Did you ever find the cause of your headaches? I am out 12 weeks and have had a headache every day since surgery.

I am five weeks out and I've had a headache for two days. Mild headache. I know I am not drinking enough Water. Any suggestions. Had terrible GERD two days ago and could not eat or drink. Water gave me severe pain. My Dr called me in meds yesterday so I am better.

I have lost a total of 20 lbs. A little disappointed that I have not lost 30 lbs or so. I will take the 20 lbs in 5 weeks I have started swimming when it is not raining. But really feel bad at this point. I had a sleeve, hernia repair and lots of scar tissue removed from previous surgery.

I’m curious also! I’m only 8 days out but have had a Migraine every day since i got out of surgery. They gave me migraine medicine but i do not want to have to take it daily. I’ve never had headaches previous. I’m getting in all my Fluid and Protein and tolerate y diet up to this point. Headaches for me are worse the actual surgery itself. Was sleeved 3 years ago no issues. Had bypass do to gerd and not weight regain. Just seeing if anyone else had this and how they stopped them.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
