I have been considering WLS for many years and never had the guts to do it. I definitely did not want the bypass and thought I could do it on my own (which never happened). I finally made up my mind and had the sleeve surgery August 8, 2013. I weighed 289 when I started my pre-op diet 6 days before surgery. I lost 9 lbs and was 280 on the day of surgery. I am at week 2 post-op and weigh 266.
