I weighed in this morning at 249.0 !! I haven't weighed this much since i had my gallbladder out in 2004...i had the biggest grin on my face when I saw that. I am only down 7lbs since surgery but I had to lose 6lbs worth of gas/IV fluids before I could get this. I also woke up this morning with no pain at all.

Good luck to the 9/11 and 9/12 sleevers...I'll see you on the losers bench :)

What a freakin roller coaster. I s sure hope that nobody else has the issues that I had been almost a week and I'm still in the hospital doing a little better but has had a lot problems I hope nobody has to go through the stuff that I went through good luck in all your surgeries everybody's different I just hope yours was a lot easier than mine.

Oh no! Ryebecca20 I hope it gets easier. Did they give you any idea of what was going on?

I am doing much better. Just had more complications than most. Thank u for your concern

I got some very crappy news from my surgeons office yesterday afternoon, my husbands insurance will only pay $7,000 total for surgery, hospital and anastesia, I was only 9 days away from my surgery date. I had to cancel 9/19 date and get extra insurance starting October to pay for the surgery. I go back to the Nutritionist and doctor on Thursday hopefully I will get a new date in October. I'm sooo upset!!! I feel like crying!!

I am so sorry feels that is an awful feeling. How much is your surgery total? Don't give up girl you will get there.

Oh NO! I am sorry. That has to suck being so close but you seem to already be on track to making it work. Hopefully sooner than later.

Had my 1 week post-op appt today and aside from getting to start soft foods which made me super happy I have also lost 12lbs!

Some days this doesn't even seem real. :)

O, My... Sorry to hear that :(

Had my 1 week post op appt today and got moved to creamy soups, protein shakes etc.. woohoo. Something with a little substance again!!

Feeling great!

Had my first follow up appointment yesterday. I was sleeved on 9/4, lost 13 pounds since then. NP was suprised, said most people don't start losing for a couple weeks becuase of all the IV fluids. Which makes sense. I wasn't doing very well with fluids until yesterday. The NP said that often times people with this surgery can't tolerate extremes of cold - all that moving around and gas might be from the ice in my beverages. So I stopped icing. I learned I don't like my fluids warm, but they go down alot better at room temp.

Other than that, I've been off pain meds since Saturday, off anti-nausea since saturday. If only I could control the gas... Still get tired easily but feeeling better!

sound like a great start. about gas from cold ... need to try to drink everything warm might be it would help me as well.

Tomorrow I start the "Dreaded Two-Week Liquid Pre-Op Diet". But I'm ready. I have my protein drinks, my sugar-free Popsicles and gelatin and my chicken broth. I mostly have been eating two meals a day like this already. Next week on e 19th is my Pre-Op appointment and then surgery on the 26th.

Well fellow Sept 12th sleevers our day has finally come on tomorrow - I'm very nervous & don't think I will be able to sleep tonight... Wishing everyone good luck on tomorrow & God bless - will post once I come out of the grogginess....

It's not so bad after the 2nd day...Just keep telling yourself that you control the food and the food does not control you. I am on day 9 of the pre-op.

I was moved to the 26th :) was the 28th.

Good luck for all those being sleeved tomorrow the 12th.

My date is coming up too. The 13th. Can't believe it !
