Hi Alliecat1095' date=' I am doing fine now.so sorry for the very very late reply. My stay in the hospital ended up being a couple of days longer than anticipated. When I got home I had a bit of a hard time adjusting. Then I went through the "why am I not losing any more weight since I got out of the hospital". I started my journey weighing 265, my pre-op weight was 239. I am 5 Weeks post-op now weighing 213 a total of 52lbs lost! I just figured I would have lost more weight after the surgery, but I realize now that i'm doing great! Sorry for the rambling, just decided to hit you with a full update : )[/quote']

I am glad you are doing great. You are having a great loss. Remember you did not gain it in one day so do not expect to loose in a few weeks. I have only lost 9lbs since my surgery 0829 and a total of 2y lbs since 7/2.. I started at 229 and I am at 203.. I stalled very quickly the first day I started full liquids.. But I keep chugging along. Watching what I eat and drink my shakes and drinking diluted Isopure.. I pray that this stall will pass soon. Keep up the great work..

I know, it was just very frustrating, but I got over the stall and have lost 5lbs. Hang in there and you should get pass your stall soon.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
