Getting Sleeved On 24Th July

Recommended Posts

Today is day 1 of my 2 week pre-op diet. How ridiculous do I feel that I want to jump into a bucket of chicken and eat my way out. I can't see how I will get through another 13 days!!!! Eeekkk

LMAO!!! Too funny!

Don't worry. Yes, it is rough. But you'll make it through. If I did, you will too. Every day I was dreaming of macaroni and cheese with chicken. I'm glad to be on the other side. Hang in there!

And stay out of the chicken buckets!!! LOL!

I am on the pre-op diet as well. It is HORRIFIC!!! I wish I could get the surgery like NOW just to get off this terrible diet. Last night I cheated with a salad and said the hell with it! I just find this diet to be super ridiculous. My dr said I didn't have to do an entire 14days. He said 8-10days was fine and that I didn't have to do it exactly. According to him, the last 4-5 days are the most crucial. Either way I am still trying to finish strong and not cheat for the rest of the time I'm on this diet. Today is day 4 for me 6 more days to go and I can't wait!! Hang in there. If it makes you feel any better...You're not alone  !

Well day 1 is over for me. I'm not sure where everyone is from on here. But I am Melbourne, Australia. I have banned fresh bread from the house as that is something I know I struggle with, and until I get a handle on this, it's easier to avoid. Thanks for your support everyone x

I'm on a mix of optifast/optislim the dietician didn't mind which one. I can also do 1 cup of veg or salad per day and 1 Protein. I cannot stomach the optislim Soup, even the smell is too much for me. I don't mind the shakes and the bars. I am also not used to the sound of my stomach growling. It's normally too full of food. Lollll

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
