What does it do? Is it an appetite suppressant?

Yes, and I think it's supposed to speed up your metabolism. I'm not sure though. I suggest you go to their website for complete details. www.trimspa.com.

Well guys, I am off to Texas for a week to 10 days. I will not be able to make Curves...but I will be mending fences, and ear tagging cows, and all kinds of fun exercise things!!! We will keep up our walks...we have several hundred acres to walk on!!! Will be in touch if possible through an Aunts house. Our place has no land line phone service...we rely on cell phones, since no one lives on the place full time, so I will have to access somewhere else. Keep up the good work, and have faith in me, I will be getting my workout!!! Do I get extra points for all the control it will take to keep my mouth shut at times??? My inlaws will be going down for several days while we are there!!! I love them dearly, but love them most when we are both in our own houses!!!

Be back...and hope to be down several pounds by then!!!

Kat

Have a great time in the Lone Star State, Kat! Sounds like you'll be getting quite a workout, so you won't miss Curves at all! Good luck with your diet while hanging with the inlaws. That can be very challenging. You have our support, so HANG TOUGH!

My mini-plateau/pause finally broke today! The scale moved down 3.6 lb in one day! I'm gonna wait until tomorrow before I change my Ticker, though, just to make sure. But overall, i have lost 4.4 lbs since I started the exercise regimen on 9/11.

September Challenge

1) 9/11: 1-hr movement class, 30-min lap swim

2) 9/12: 1-hr yoga class, 30-min lap swim

3) 9/13: 1-hr movement class, 30-min lap swim

4) 9/14: 1-hr yoga class, 30-min lap swim

5) 9/15: 30-min treadmill, 30-min lap swim

6) 9/18: 1-hr movement class

7) 9/19: 1-hr yoga class

8) 9/20: 1-hr movement class, 30-min lap swim

Kat have a good time, sounds like you should be down several pounds after all of that. In my book you definitely get extra points for the inlaws. LOL

Bluehill: Yeah!!!!!! I knew it would happen!! Good for you. I'm so happy for you, I know how discouraging it can be not to see the scale move after you've done everything right.

40 min. at Curves today.

Bluehill: Awesome! Oh, please let that happen to me. I've been stuck at 178 for 7 weeks :) . I am grateful I haven't gained, but my goal is still pretty far off. Maybe tomorrow will be the lucky day! Off to the track I go for and extra-long workout. Wish me luck in breaking the barrier!

Hey, folks, thanks for all the positive feedback! Yes, I've been feeling remarkably "light" all day, moving around with great ease -- almost dancing, Susan! I've noticed a big change in flexibility and balance with just two weeks of movement and yoga classes. But most beneficial has been the simple desire to get off my butt and move around more.

Apparently the plateau/pause that I was on has broken big-time. Yesterday I reported on a one-day weight loss of 3.6 lbs. Well this morning the scale yielded another 3-lb loss for a total of 6.6 lbs in two days. I'm so excited, and I have a new ticker. Hooray!

I was faithful in exercising every day this week, and now with just one full week left in September, I know that I'll be able to meet the Challenge.

Well gang - I have made it to 13 workouts only 2 to go to make the challenge but I don't want to slow down now so i think I will go for the gusto and work out at least 20. But I think I am building muscle and not moving the scale as much. Anyone else feel this way?

My workouts are 45 mins long usually. Maybe I should start lifting weights.

Way to go Bluehill!!! I'm so excited for you! I'm rooting for a third day of incredible loss. May the scale god be with you tomorrow too. WOOHOO!

Momof2, I'm sure yo'ure gaining muscle if you're not losing. It will pay off in the long run. Definitely keep it up.

As for me, I had a big decision to make about work and it's been plaguing me for about 2 weeks, so today I said to myself that I was going to get on the elliptical and not get off until I had a decision. 72 minutes later I had a decision and the elliptical didn't kill me either. I love my elliptical machine....

Thanks for the good words, guys.

Yikes, Julie, I can't believe you can do 72 minutes on the elliptical! I tire easily on that thing, after maybe 10 minutes or so. Plus the mental boredom of the same movement for that length of time would do me in. Do you read, watch TV, listen to music while exercising?

I can't usually do that much, but my mind was particularly occupied yesterday. I do go to a really nice gym though. Each piece of cardio equipment has its own TV with satellite and radio channels built right in. I LOVE it! Plus, it doesn't feel like the same movement the whole time because I set the machine for random levels to keep it interesting. My gym is the best. It's kind of off the beaten track, but I'm so glad I found it.

Today, for #14, I walked 3 miles outside. I might go to the gym later as well. Depends how I feel after my nap.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
