I've been on this journey for a few months, should get my approval next week. But I just got the results from my endoscopy polyps I had removed....

I have been diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumors. Cancer. I have cancer. It's truly a miracle to me that they found this, and that they wouldn't have found it had I not chose to get this surgery. That a woman of 25 would not receive an endoscopy just because, but I made the decision. I'm horrified. My daughter just turned 1... I can't even look at her without tearing up. Why is this happening to me when I am sitting her dieting my ass off, walking, preparing mentally for me to get my weight and life n better health, and now this? Everything may happen for a reason, but I'm not getting this one,

I will be having surgery tomorrow to see if this tumor has spread into my intestines, but to also remove the tumor in my stomach.

God bless you all beginning this journey to not have the news I have received. If anyone else has got this news, please reach out to me. I'm scared. :(

  • God has a plan for you...and part of that plan was for you to find this because of your decision. It's a blessing that they caught it and that it will be treated. (((Hugs))) I know you don't see that

I am so sorry about this news for you and your family - be strong and know that if you were not doing this - they would not have found it. Keeping you in my prayers.

Im so sorry, I hope you find comfort somehow in this shocking news and pull yourself through it. I'm 25 as well and we have so much ahead of us in life, please fight! I'm with everyone else that seeking WLS was a blessing in disguise. Stay strong and please even though you aren't getting VSG right away, keep us posted how you are doing. I have read on occasion here that VSG was used before to remove stomach cancer, not sure if this is what is needed or suggested by your doctors for you. Knowledge is power educate yourself about all the options you have for your treatment, it will hopefully make you less scared knowing more about it. Chin up and start fighting!

Good luck to you. So sorry for the news, but so happy they found it!

Please keep us posted! I agree with the others...if you would not have pursuing this surgery, you wouldn't have hade an endoscopy done, and this awfulness found! This is why insurances (all of them) should cover bariatric procedures! I'm going to Mexico because mine doesn't cover it, and I know things like that won't be checked. God be with you, bless and keep you.

I am so sorry toi hear your news, but it is fortunate that it was found now. I will keep you in my prayers. God has a plan for you that he may not reveal to you right now. You have the right to be scared, but try to stay strong and praise God that you will be having this taken care of sooner than later. Please leep us posted on the outcome of your surgery. Hugs to you.

What an overwhelming response. Thank you all, each one of you. All these positive words are touching my heart and easing the pain. I haven't told many people, that was kind of why I vented here, but also in search of anyone who's been through this. I will fight his, for my daughter and soon to be husband. They are the best part of my life and I'm not going down without a battle. My procedure is at noon tomorrow, please just pray for me. God will hear us, and I need him to.

What state are you in?

We are all sleever family, and probably treat each other with more respect, care and love then some of our own non supportive family and friends! God will be listening to many prayers, just for you!

New Hampshire.

Tekara,

You are in our prayers honey. So many have said it, God has plans and we are not great enough to know the big picture. He often protects us and that is God, our protector. Stay strong for you and your baby girl, she needs you and know it is okay to cry, we will be there to hug you and rejoice when you are clear and on your way to good health.

I'm sorry about your difficulties. Let's thank god that you did decide to look into vsg, and found this out. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

I will be praying for you at 9:00 california time. Please try to stay calm and get some much needed rest tonight. Everything will be fine. Here is a little song i sing when I am getting ready to go into the ER:

Go now in peace,

Never be afraid

God will be with you each hour of everyday,

Go now in faith

Steadfast strong and true,

Know he will guide you in all you do

He will be with you and everything will be fine.

XXOO Janet

Tekara everything happens for a reason, and you are so lucky that you have the chance to save your life by discovering this accidentally. You must be devastated but take hope that you know and that means you can beat it with the help of a good oncologist. I hope and pray for your speedy recovery. Xxx

So so sorry. Please keep us updated. Prayers going up for you.
