Typical Meal?

Recommended Posts

Breakfast: 7 ounce Dannon Light and Fit smoothie

Lunch: about 1 cup of Indian food (spinach and cheese, chicken, chick peas about 1 cup total)

Dinner: TBD but a normal dinner would be 1 small slice pizza and a bit of salad, or 1/2 a sandwich or a small piece of fish and 1/4 cup veggies.

Snack: Sometimes if I'm hungry between meals I'll have a balance bar, a small bag of beef Jerky, a handful of soy nuts or regular nuts, or an ounce of cheese.< /p>

Breakfast - Low Carb Slim Fast - 20grams Protein per serving

lunch - 1 cup taco Soup - PB'd on the last bite

snack - 1/2 cup dry Cherrios

Supper - 1/4 cup tuna, 1/2 cup green Beans - PB'd the green Beans

Snack - 1/2 c no sugar added vanilla yogurt

Water - Consumed 4 16oz bottles today between meals/snack times

In my opinion it looks like you are not eating enough...

have you tracked your calories? You need to be between 1200-1500 or otherwise your body will hold onto any food ittakes in thinking you are starving it. It also does not look like you are getting 60 grams of Protein in a day either.

Breakfast - Low Carb Slim Fast - 20grams protein per serving

Instead of a Liquid Protein try a solid protein like scrambled egg whites they go down easier then real eggs add a piece of turkey sausage or turkey bacon.

lunch - 1 cup taco Soup - PB'd on the last bite

Instead of a soup which again is liquid calories try eating some sliced lunch meats with some sliced cheese, it wil lstay with you longer and has more protein.

Snack - 1/2 cup dry Cherrios

Dry cheerios are full of carbs which does nothing to curb hunger and will only make you crave more carbs, how about trying a Protein Bar, it is solid and will stay with you longer

Supper - 1/4 cup tuna, 1/2 cup green beans - PB'd the green beans

Snack - 1/2 c no sugar added vanilla yogurt

Again yogurt is a soft food and we all know soft or mushy foods do not stay long in your pouch. If I needed a snack Iwould eat a handful of nuts with a piece of string cheese they both have protein and are solids.

Water - Consumed 4 16oz bottles today between meals/snack times

I've been trying to eat sensibily and as recommended by the doctor and nutritionist with protien first ... but it is hard when I slime.

What is your current fill level? I ask because if you can not eat solids without slime or PB you may be a tad too tight. Having as little as .1 or .2 cc's removed will make a difference in being able to eat solids, one thing my Dr. stressed to me was if I PB more then once a week, Iam too tight, he told me I should beable to eat solids without PBing, If I cant then Iam too tight. Something to think aboutPbing often is not good for your band, too tight of a band is not good for the longebity of your band and does not help with your weight loss.

Hi everyone. Salt will hold Water on your body. Try to get in all of your water and stay away from the salt as much as you can. Too much water on your body and your metbo. will slow down.

i was told by the doctor that every meal(3) should consist of not more than one cup of food and that the food should be high quality--no junk- Protein not bigger than the size of a deck of playing cards,1/4-1/2cup well cooked veggies and fruit no larger portion than you get as a garnish in a resturant...no sugar/no fat but you may eat 3-4 teaspoons of fat a day---so try tuna/chicken/egg salad on high protein soy chips(available at trader joes) your portion should fill you before you can finish the cup of food---so stop and you won't pb we no longer belong to the clean plate club--and you can survive very nicely on 500-800calories a day----and chew chew chee chew .....and do it some more. I also eat with an infant utensil---small bites and 1/2 hour to eat--not more if you have spent this amount of timeand there is food left i am sure the dog would love it!! just drink between meals, no snacking--or grazing....and best of luck...check your thyroid activity for Hair loss if you feel that you are taking in enough protein!!

Too much salt doesn't slow your metabolism, it just makes you retain Water, which makes you look fatter, plus it can cause cause high blood pressure. Actually, a lack of salt (actually salt with iodine) can slow your metabolism because your thyroid requires it for normal function.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
