I Guys I'm so happy with everything except that I'm having a big issue with my hair. It is falling progressively and I see holes on my scalp. I'm getting my Protein Vitamins and Water in. Why is this happening does it ever stop? What to do?

Yes. Try Biotin. I was losing a lot of hair too until I started taking it. Now I'm back to my normal hair shedding.

It will stop and you will be thin and healthy!!! Mine started at 3 months and ended at 9. It has all grown back and is just as healthy as ever...but now I am thin.

My Doctor said that abnormal hair loss is a possible side effect of the surgery due to the trauma and stress your body undergoes. He also said that it's just a passing thing and would be fine in a matter of a few months.

Hopefully it will pass soon for you.

It's because surgery is a shock to your system. If you do a thread search up at the top right, under search forum and put in hair loss, there is a lot of information on this.

It usually starts around month 4, gets better around month 9 and stops at a year. For some lucky people, it doesn't last as long.

You can take Biotin all kinds of hair and nail Vitamins, get more Protein, etc, but it will stop when it wants to.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
