3 Weeks Out 30 Pounds Down But No Restriction Question

Recommended Posts

Ok dr said he used a 34 french bougie(sp) but I can eat 4 oz cottage cheese or yogurt and feel 0 restriction but I stop myself. I feel hungry often and its just not what I was expecting. Has anyone else had this happen/feeling? I'm worried I have already ruined it..

Well, yogurt is considered a Fluid actually so you will be able to eat more. I'm four weeks out and can almost eat a 6 oz carton (not quite, but almost). Cottage cheese may be similar as it is not really that dense and consists of a lot of liquid. I can eat four ounces of cottage cheese but I tend to eat it a little too fast probably so I get full on it.

The dr gave me a diet of 3 oz every 2 hours and so forth. I am a revision paitent and I'm not sure that makes a difference.

After my liquid phase and all that good stuff and still now, i was told by my NUT to measure 1/3 cup total for each meal. Since that is what is on my plate, thats what i eat.

don't give yourself any temptation putting more on your plate, saying hmmmm, maybe i should stop now. With everything measured, you can't question yourself to eat more, even if you think you might be able to eat more STOP

That way i'm full - also remember to eat very slowly, chew thoroghly (msp) and donl drink w/your meals. Rember all this, there will be a test :)

good luck

ps you didn't stretch your sleeve

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
