July Sleevers

What are July Sleevers doing to pass the time? I have another month left for the end of the year and I don't know what to do. I was told not to start my pre-op liquid diet yet , I have not a clue as to what to do while waiting? I am hearing all these numbers about percentage of weightloss after surgery do you know is the wightloss percentage 30% 50% less or more?

Congrats to you all, with special love to fanganberry

I am tenatively scheduled for July 10th pending insurance approval. Add me to the calendar.

I know what you're saying. From reading everyone's stories, it seems everyone is so very different! I'm scheduled for my sx on Tuesday so I'm curious to see what my weightloss will be too. I'm a little bummed because I have not lost the 15lbs they've requested for the pre-op regimen so that's a bit foreboding. My doc told me we may even need to cancel the surgery if I don't weigh in at the target so I've been very stressed this weekend with trying to get to that 15lbs mark. Since I've been on 100% liquid since my pre-op appointment, I think I'm there, but I can't bear to step on the scale to confirm.

I'm a bit wary, but If I don't have this procedure on Tuesday, I'd be terribly disappointed. Best of wishes. And I think we'd all be in agreement that you just need to be patient and DO YOU. Follow the diet programs and you'll begin to melt away. My doctor always stresses that WLS is a TOOL, not the SOLUTION. You still have to work at it and build better eating habits.

I am a little bummed also I don't know if I will be sleeved Tuesday because I am still awaiting breath results for h.pylori.

I hope they come back negative for you!

I am calling my Dr in about an hour to check to see If my results are in, they should have been on Friday but I wanted to give them an extra day just in case.

Let us know the results!

Johnathan

I hope everything works out for you guys! Keep us posted on the results.

Me too! :)

Me too! :)

Congrats on being able to have surgery tomorrow! We will do great!

Quality of life. THATS IT. I'm also fit as a fiddle, just 100lbs overweight. Im quite short so that is a lot on my frame. I hate that my feet hurt all the time and I am always out of breath, can't climb a ladder, the water in the bath gets stuck behind/ in front of me, and that' the small kids I teach can run rings around me. Can't WAIT for these things to end. Oh and it would be nice if I was more confident and not always hiding away being the token fat girl so I could meet someone meaningful. ONWARD AND DOWNWARD!

Hope all is well, Smoggy --- in my thoughts and prayers!
