  1. Hello April, I sent you a friend request. Please add me to the FB page.
  2. Sounds great Susie, thanks for sharing. I can't wait to try this in a few weeks.
  3. Thank you Smoggy I will try it that way. I've actually been sleeping most of the day due to the pain meds but every time I wake up I try to walk and do the breathing exercises. I need to try and stay wake longer so that I can get in all my liquids.
  4. Oh, I forgot to mention that I was able to drink 4 8oz cups of water, all of my beef broth and a tiny bit of the jello. Do you think thats too much? Im scared that I will be able to eat too much food when all the swelling goes down.
  5. I actually don’t have any gas which I thought was strange. Most of my incisions do hurt with the exception of the one my stomach was extracted from. So I have pain in a large part of my right side. Then when I started drinking water yesterday every single sip I take I can feel it going all the way down and once it gets to my stomach I get a really bad cramp. I was release from the hospital yesterday at 4 but the nurses didn’t have me walking very much. I took 2 laps Monday night and then yesterday no one came to ask me to walk but my husband got me up and walking 3 times before we left the hospital. I hope this pain goes away soon, it is really uncomfortable.
  6. Hey Patrick, I was wondering if you are having pain when you drink water. Everytime I swallow it is very painful and was wodering if everyone else if feeling the samething.
  7. Hey guys the surgery went great yesterday but i have had a lot of pain mainly on my right side incisions. I will be going for my swallow test and hopefully that goes well and i can start on liquids. Sent from my DROIDX using VST
  8. Thank you Smoggy, I wish you and all of the July 2nd sleevers the best of luck as well. God will be watching all of us. I am so ready, lets do this!!!!
  9. I know exactly how you feel. My surgery is this monday and I am extremely scared and excited. I haven't been able to sleep for the past 4 days...I keep thinking they will change my date at the last minute. I am waiting for the doctor's office to call as we speak to give me the time I need to be at the hospital. wish me luck!!!
  10. Smoggy, I feel the same way. I cant believe that next monday I will finally be sleeved. I am so anxious and can hardly stay still. I spend all day cleaning my already clean house just to keep myself occupied...lol

mylifeinpink, that sounds delicious. You guys have put my mind at ease knowing that I will be able to have limes again after surgery. I was really worried about it since they have a lot of acid.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how they tolerate acidic foods after being sleeved, specifically limes. Since I was a kid I have loved limes and put fresh lime juice on just about anything. My surgery is a little over a week away and Im having anxiety about not being able to tolerate one of my favorite things in the world. Help!!!
  13. Hello Everyone, I was just approved on Monday by Cigna so my July 2nd date is a go. Im so nervous and excited at the same time and dont know what to do with myself. Im going for my final blood work in a few hours and that will be the last thing I need to do before surgery in two weeks. I officially start my pre-op diet on Monday though I started having 2 Protein shakes for Breakfast and lunch and a light dinner since Memorial day and have lost 7 pounds so far. Unfortunately I have some swelling in my hip preventing me from working out but I dont let get me down and will continue to do what I can before my surgery. Can you also add me to the list for July 2nd. I love all the support on this group.
  14. I would have them resend it. the same thing happened to me, they kept telling me they were missing clinical documents. I had my insurance navigator send the documents 5 times as i called cigna constantly to ask about the status of my approval. after 2 weeks I finally got my approval today and I am scheduled for July 2nd.
  15. when I had my pre-op blood work my doctor said my vitamin D levels were the lowest he has ever seen in his career. He prescribed vitamin D 50,000 mcg once a week. I also felt very energetic the first 2 weeks or so but then I felt normal. I kinda miss that little burst of energy monday mornings as I tend to always be tired.
  16. I finally got my approval!!!!!I am so happy I can hardly contain myself. Cigna has had me jumping through hoops for the last 2 weeks. I have called them almost everyday to check on the status of my approval. They kept giving me the run around telling that "clinical" paperwork was missing which we faxed to them 5 times. Then yesterday I received a denial letter in the mail so I called my surgeons office first thing this morning. My insurance navigator called Cigna who confirmed that I was indeed approved and they do not know why that letter was sent in the first place. I am so relieved that all the insurance stress is over.
  17. Hello Everyone, I too have Cigna OAP. My claim was submitted to the insurance last Tuesday May 29th by my surgeons office. I called the insurance today and they said they are waiting for clinical documents. This whole process is giving me anxiety, I'm so nervous that something is going to be wrong and I will be denied. I called my insurance nagivator and she stated that all documents were faxed to cigna but that she would give them a call just to make sure they have everything they need. I am really hoping to hear something soon because I can't stop thinking about the approval/denial from the insurance. I feel like the rest of my life is hanging out on a limb.
