What are July Sleevers doing to pass the time? I have another month left for the end of the year and I don't know what to do. I was told not to start my pre-op liquid diet yet , I have not a clue as to what to do while waiting? I am hearing all these numbers about percentage of weightloss after surgery do you know is the wightloss percentage 30% 50% less or more?

My surgery date is July 30th and I am so anxious. I have been watching YouTube videos of others surgury experience and it's pretty amazing to see the weight drop off each week.

Hey everyone!!!!my surg date is July 25th....I am way to excited!i start the pre-op diet the 11th but plan on restarting my good eating habits on the 1st....this past week iv been BAD!eating everything in sight...just got myself nervous and worried,I guess it all just hit me and I went a little nuts.but going to get right back on my feet!goodluck to everyone with the surgery!happy july4th

Hey Patrick, I KNOW- what is with our July 2nd date? It seems to be WILDLY popular! I keep hoping it is because it falls on a mystically auspicious day for surgery...

Just got done with my egd I swear I was shaking I was so nervous. Then I bit down in something and next thing I know I'm being woken up then transferred to recovery.

Seems awfully close to your surgery date. I had mine in early May and surgery isn't until 7/24. Good thing because they found a small esophageal ulcer so I've been on Nexium since then to help repair it before surgery. Hope everything is all clear!

My egd went okay no ulcers or hernias I'm as always fit as a fiddle except for the extra 400+ pounds. My weight makes me more high risk but my weird lack of co morbities lowers the risk so I guess it's about even lol. My doctor said I'd probably have major health issues in next 5 years, that was in 2008.

My biggest issues? Are all more quality of life issues. I have confidence my surgery will go well since I'm in pretty good shape internally, but that does not mean I'm not super nervous and freaking out this weekend.

Donna, thanks for your kind words, second guessing this decision all weekend, I know it's what I need to do but scared of the surgery, and the commitments, and basically change... My life is about to change drastically, tomorrow morning.
