Did anyone have any issues loosing the last 25?? I been averaging 9-10lbs a month and now this past month I only lost 4lbs. Haven't done anything different, in fact I have increased my exercise. I heard some people say the last 5 is hard, but the last 25?? Just wondering if the last bit was hard for anyone.

Thank you

Hey... I am definitely in the last 30 or so of my journey and my weight loss has slowed down dramatically! I am also averaging 4 lbs a month now... sometimes less! It certainly seems like these last 30 are going to take just as long as the first 115! To not get depressed over it I am trying to just think one day at a time. I focus on my Protein and my Water and my Vitamin and go on with my day. I am just now starting to really exercise so I'll see how that affects my weight loss.

I have also stalled a LOT during my journey. The reason my numbers were still high was because I would drop a lot when it broke.

Yes, same here - my weight loss has really slowed down also and I am getting close to goal. I have really been trying to change up my exercise and do more of it. I can tell my body is changing even with the little bits of weight loss. We'll get there!

The reason that the last part is harder has to do with the amount of energy you expend with your current exercise or normal routines and your current weight vs. when you were 200 - 180. Someone that weights 250 uses up more calories per minute than someone that weights 150 doing the exact same thing.

If every single day you do the same routine, walk a mile, 3, 5 or 10, it becomes the norm. Something usually has to change for the last push and of course you know that there's not just a "three week stall" there are continual stalls. How about switch up your exercise routine, if you usually walk or ride a bike, try step aerobics with weight training, get a tape like The Firm. Sometimes something as easy as switching your routine will help move it along. More muscle you have the more fat you burn.

I haven't had surgery yet, but I've been through this myself. I used to run 10 miles a day, lift weights, do aerobics and kick box before I got sick and regained all my weight back.

Good luck and hopefully the last 25 will melt off :)

As I am telling you to be patient, I realize that I have given up today. I let myself have anything I wanted which were not that great. So it's back on track for me tomorrow. Gotta cut the sugar again and the carbs. LOL Tomorrow is a new day, and exercise will be first thing in the AM. ;)

Weight loss did slow down for me, but I was able to reach my goal. Keep keeping on and do what you are supposed to do.

I have 15 lbs to my goal and it has definitely slowed down. 5 lbs lost in the last month. But, I also went to buy some new pants and size 12's were too big. I haven't worn 10's ever. I now have a new pair of size 10 jeans. At almost 8 months since my sleeve, that should put me at goal by my 1 year anniversary. I can live with that.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
