Good luck with the job! Since it's your first, you'll always remember it!

We don't have that chain here in Houston, so I'm not sure what type of fast food they serve.. but, I recommed staying away from anything FRIED! It's not worth the extreme pain it's guaranteed to cause.

The only fast food I can eat these days is Taco Bell pintos and cheese, and a small nachos. But that will all change tomorrow, when I go in for my 5th fill.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY on Thursday :happybday: . Hope all goes well on your first day, and they don't make you clean restrooms! That would suck!

Congrats on the job Marissa. That is so exciting for you. My DD just got her first job last week and will get her first paycheck this Friday. It is terribly exciting to get that first paycheck and be able to have your own money.

Woo-hoo, congratulations on the job! As to the surgery, its up to you, Do You Want Everyone to Know? If so then cool, I told everyone I have seen that I am getting my surgey, today I get to tell them my date. But I work for my dad in his store and have for 8+ years, so everyone knows me.

I've had PBs on the job. I'm in a different setting though, to where it doesn't really matter if I'm away from my desk randomly for a while. Not sure how to best handle that one. Maybe explain the potential to your supervisor, and let them know that it may happen that you'll need to step away. If your PBs are anything like mine, toward the end you can't really work through them anyway... there comes a while when I'm doing good to be able to pace the bathroom.

Congratulations on the job and happy birthday. Roy Rogers is basically ALL fried food so I would advise NOT eating it at all. Bring your own food and that should keep you and the band happy. Good luck on the job!

Congrats on the job! I agree with the others, bring your own food. They usually don't give you much time to eat anyway. Since you're sharing the diabetes info. w/the manager...he'll understand your "special" eating.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
