Where Are The Feb. 2012 Sleevers At?

Recommended Posts

I'm new here and wanted to see who had their surgery around the same time I did, meet some new friends and see how you are doing along with whats been working well for you! I had my surgery Feb. 8, 2012 no pre-op diet except for day before and my weight was 407, last weigh in was April 13,2012 and I weighed 351 so overall I'm cool with the results so far in two months. Hit me up and let me know how your doing.

I had my surgery Feb 15th. I'm doing great and very happy with my results so far. I've lost 48 lbs and 40 inches total. I eat pretty normal food now. Just really small amounts. I also go to the gym a few times a week to do cardio and weights. I really feel back to normal now.

The biggest change for me is how I feel about food now. I just eat because I have to. I used to eat until the point of being sick and way over full. I love that I am not able to do this to myself anymore. I no longer over eat I just eat what I need to and go on with my day.

I love my sleeve. :)

I had my surgery on 2/9/12. I just hit 30 lbs down. That includes 10 lbs I lost on the preop diet. I've always be a slow loser and have hypothyroid. I feel pretty good. Still have some fatigue but am walking an hour a day. I'll start gym soon to start trying to build muscle.

I was sleeved Feb 6th. I've lost 30 lbs. I'm a slow loser.....also have hypothyroid. Plus, I'm 66 yrs old and I think that makes a difference. I really haven't gotten into exercising, but just joined a gym. My biggest problem is getting enough Protein in. I'm happy w my results so far and don't mind losing slowly.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
