Thread Killers

Thought it might be fun to make a list of things that render an active, fun-loving thread... well, Dead.

I was reading the other day and I saw for the ka-zillionth time or so where some well meaning newbie jumped into a lively discussion to ask the question. You know the one... "What is a PB?"

Don't get me wrong, I am sure I did it too. Well maybe, I sure hope not.

What can someone post that will make you shut it down and walk away?

Carlene,

You have made my little 10 year old neighbor so happy.

We are gonna make Kitty Litter Cake this Sat.

For those who are interested cake picture is #873 on this thread and recipe is #876.

I have been wondering if this thread is going to die. We have had a lot of people lately asking why they can't eat solids so many days post op. I always think about this thred when I read that.

Good luck with your cake, Edie!

How did your cake turn out, Edie? My DD's birthday was the 21st and I so wanted to make her a kitty litter cake, but she wanted German chocolate. What a brat!

i KNOW it has been mentioned here before but

I Hate When People Capitalize The First Letter Of Every Word!!

GAHHHHHHHH drives me freaking nuts.

I agree, I hate that. It's like reading with visual speed bumps. It is so much work to read because your brain is forced to wonder whether each. and. every. word. is. the. beginning. of. a. new. sentence.

Yah, I must admit that it drives me bluddy nuts, too. I am a member of a website where people regularly get banned by the editor of the site for using language in a, ahem, non-conformist fashion. Foul language is permitted but not lack of capitalisation or over-capitalisation, missing punctuation, etc. And the other members are allowed to savage the individual as well. That site makes Rant&Raves look like a most gentle and civilized zone, one suitable for sensitive children to play in.

I hate that too. Another thing I really hate are the ones that post these big huge posts with no breaks or spaces in the paragraphs. They fill the entire page and it's very hard to read.

Plus I am getting very sick of new people posting they are 2 or 3 days post op and they are going to eat pizza or something equally as bad when they are supposed to be on liquids. :faint:

My favorite thread of all time!! It's been awhile. Can't remember if this one has been posted yet & don't want to take the time to look. Pretty good thread killer if you ask me. I know, you didn't ask. :car:

Did I hear someone say cheese? Sounds a little pcrazy to me. Did you know that when you cut the cheese after eating cheese that all cheese is not created equal? This is a classic: http://www.720ice.com/pdf/BabypowderFart.mpg

Okay, somebody has to tell me how that was done. Is that a computer generated thingy? I know, I am pretty dumb when it comes to stuff like that.:rolleyes

That said, that was hilarious!
