Starbucks/ Panera Suggestions

Recommended Posts

I work at sbux and these posts are awesome and helpful! Matcha powder had green tea and sugar in it already. Go for nonfat or soy (although our soy has vanilla flavor and sweet), use SF syrups and please go for Decaf. I don't drink coffee but if I did I sip 2oz of decaf with cinnamon powder and 1 oz of soy milk. Fraps are made with coffee, whole milk, sugar base, ice and whatever Syrup like caramel or mocha, etc. If you want a frap order light those are made with coffee, nonfat milk, light sugar gum base, and any syrup you want preferably sugar free. I drink nonfat milk with Protein Powder at work. If I feel shaky I have a few sips of NF milk with one pump of chai, I gave up all the other syrups because it's not worth it for me. The rest of the day I drink Water. On days off and vacation time I order a trenta tea (passion and green tea with apple juice no sweetener added) instead of lemonade because the acid makes my tummy feel weird. The apple juice sweetens the tea without me needing to add any splenda. I love that tea <3 Definately recommend you all try it. I get 31oz cup because friends and family by now know I can't finish it and I swear I only get 8oz of my drink and the rest everyone else loves it lol

Yikes, frappucinos hurt my stomach! I get a non-fat latte w 1 pump sugar free peppermint, 1 pump sugar free mocha and 2 equals.

As for Panera, any salad is probably ok if you skip the croutons. And any Soup that is NOT creamy is good. I tried eating the baked potato one about 2-3 months out from surgery and I lterally got in 2 bites before feeling like I had a lump in my throat. Not to mention the fat content :X

i dont drink any kind of coffee but at Panera i eat the chicken noodle Soup, it has huge chunks of chicken. ALso the chicken or tuna salad with no bread. They are yummy and full of Protein. The chicken has almonds so be careful if you arent very far out.

I'm screwed with Sbux. My drink is a venti iced green tea latte, 1 pump, double matcha. I can give up the pump but their matcha is mixed with sugar so it's unavoidable. I've had 3 - 5 of those per week for the last 3 years so... this is gonna be an adjustment.

Sbux chicken sausage Breakfast wrap has 300 calories/14gm Protein. They have an egg white wrap too, IIRC.

Panera has a really good vegetarian black bean Soup (110 cal, 1g sat fat, 2.5g total fat, 980mg sodium, 18g carbs, 3g sugars, 3g Fiber, 6g protein). When banded I would get that and a half asiago roastbeef sandwich (350 cal, 7g sat fat, 13g total fat, 630mg sodium, 32g carbs, 2g sugars, 1g Fiber, 24g protein). Breakfast power sandwich (360 cal, 6g sat fat, 14g total fat, 860mg sodium, 36g carbs, 3g sugars, 4g fiber, 23g protein). You can easily skip the bread on anything above.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
