Shoe Size, Before And After? I'm Asking The Ladies And The Gents.

Recommended Posts

Okay, My foot has always been long, and wide. I never carried weight in my foot, like some do. My feet are veiny, a little boney, but I am curious if I would lose a size. My entire life I've been a 9.5/10B sometimes W. After pregnancy my foot went up a size, and I know that can happen permanently after a child. I'd love if I could get back to a 10. When I was 250 (pregnancy weight) I wore a 10, after pregnancy when I returned to 250 my foot was an 11, so I know it's not a weight thing, but I'd like to assume, hehehe. Anywho any bony footed people (lol) loss a shoe size?

I'm 6'2". I started at a 12W pre-surgery and am now a comfortable 12M, and honestly, 11.5 narrow would probably work a bit better, but they're really hard to find. My feet have definitely gotten smaller and more narrow.

I was hoping my feet would shrink too. I wore an 11 by the end of pregnancy and after 50 more lbs am wearing a 12. Really hard to find cute shoes. Occasionally can find an 11 to fit but not too often. I would like to have smaller feet for sure but I guess we will see as I go back down after I'm post op.

I really really hope they don't change sizes. I've invested quite a bit in shoes, and I'd hate to have to replace them.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
