6 Days Out And I Feel So Tired And Weak

Recommended Posts

I think I am having a bad moment, but not sure. I feel so tired and I get hot flashes for no reason. I am also disgusted with myself because I can't make the 64 oz Water mark:( I am barley at 30 oz. I just feel so full. I am so tired and really starting to think I made a big mistake:(

sigh....

Thank you for just letting me vent.

That is my biggest fear is lack of energy! I'm scheduled for March 28th and I have 3 small kids. EVERYONE has said the sleeve is the "best decision" they have ever made in their lives so I'm hanging on to those words! No one has ever said it in the first week though as far as I know :D Most everyone seems to think thr turning point is around week 2.

Hi

I think you need to just relax and take your time to get better.I was sleeved on the 13th and I have good hours in every day ( wanted to say good days but maybe all's good for 7 hours and then just like that,I drink some Soup or something and feel as sick as a dog.So good hours is good enough for now)

I am trying to not do to much every day.Out for only a few hours at a time.As for the rest I sit in my arm chair with my ottoman and I just take it easy.Am up and down the stairs all day ( to the kitchen, for the kids ect) but other than that I am recovering....AND IT IS OK!

Healing will happen, all in good time.

xxo

Venting is good!

For me it is so good to see I am not the only with these feelings.

It is normal to have these feelings, your body is going thru some major changes right now. It will get better, I promise. I was a little tired the first two weeks but I feel amazing now, sooo much more energy.

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I just have this feeling like something is wrong. Took a 10 min shower this morning and I felt like I had been power walking for two hours. I hope it's just my bodys way of recovering

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
