By week two I was eating lots of Greek yogurt (no fruit). It's very high in Protein. Instant mashed potatoes' date=' sugar free pudding, and skim milk with nestlé breakfast drinks. What kind of bariatric Vitamin are you taking? optisource is really good. Citrus flavored. You can get it at Walgreens. Good luck![/quote']

Hi- I have been taking the Celebrate chewable vitamins! They are so tart and I can't handle them anymore... Thanks for the help...

Do you recommend cottage cheese or string cheese...? Definitely not getting enough Protein in...

Hi there! I've been eating lentil Soup, I blended tomatoes, garlic and little bit of onion and added it to the lentils, the broth tasted really good. When I began my third week, I blended the lentils and added a little bit of cheese and they taste great! I also made Beans and drank the broth. As far as Vitamins the chewable make me gag so I bought Gummy bears (for adults). Yogurt is awesome and also queso fresco (fresh cheese) it has same Protein as cottage cheese but to me it tastes better. Good luck!

Cottage cheese definatly if you like it. I do not like it at all. It's very hard to get the Protein in. My nutritionist recommended unflavored Protein powder added to foods or nonfat dry milk added to foods.

Great to know! I did like cottage cheese before so keeping my fingers crossed that I still do,lol... Thank you for all your help... Greatly appreciated ;)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
