Women Who Weighed 280-260: How Much Did You Lose In...

Recommended Posts

Id like to know how much did you lose at six months? I am noticing a trend. You can add other stats if you like.

Is the average ten pounds a month? If not what is?

I started at 271 the day of surgery and I think at 6 months I was down to around 190.

I'm not 6 months yet, but I started at 273 the day of surgery and I'm about 230 now. Two days ago was my 3 month surgiversary and I've lost 43 pounds. I don't count pre-surgery weight loss into my numbers. I hope I can lose the same the next 3 months! To lose 105 pounds in 6 months after surgery would be a dream, but sadly that won't happen for me. I'm just a slower loser, I guess. ;)

It hasn't been 6 months for me yet but I would say I am a slow loser. About 10Lbs a month sound like my situation. Hope you have a quicker weight loss! :)

I had lost 80 lbs at 6 months...17 the first month and then 10 lbs or so every month after. I started at 283.

Guess I'm a slow loser! I started at 266 lbs, and at 6 months I am down 71 lbs. But I have lost steadily with no real stalls, and only have 45 lbs until goal, so I am happy!

Good luck to you!

I am having my surgery on March 9 and I went from 298 to 268. Sure wish people would list their height. I'm 5'7 3/4" and would kind of like to know what others my height have lost in 6 mo postoperative.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
