February 18Th Weekly Check-In

Recommended Posts

I am 157.2 today, down 2.8 lbs from last week. YAY! I Think I am officially in the 150's. In the beginning I just KNEW I would be at goal by now. Maybe without my leak I would have been, who knows. I think I am still on target to hit it by summer - I hope!

I changed my ticker to include my preop weight loss too - I lost that darn weight, I am claiming it haha!!

Good morning All Stars! I weighed 197.3 this am, I have actually been at this weight for 4 days now. This puts me down 1.2 lbs from last week. Not a great loss, but it's still a loss. I have increased the intensity of my workouts this week, hoping that will help rev things up a bit!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Hi everyone :) I haven't been doing well these past few weeks, this week especially. I've been eating candy, valentine chocolates and whatever else I wanted. Ugh. What a fatty! I weighed in at 186 today, which is down 3 lbs from the last time I checked in (2/4) but somehow with the way I've been eating I don't think it's real. Anyway, I'm really bummed about my eating and nonsense.

Love you guys. Stay encouraged cuz you two are doing great!!

Hi everyone. I was down 1.4 to an even 148. Eight more pounds to goal!

I have been struggling the last two weeks, I am constantly hungry, something I haven't felt in months. Very scary....

How long ago was your surgery? After how long from your surgery did you start working out? What was your start weight? What would you recommend on what type of exercise to start

My surgery was August 24, so I was 6 months out yesterday and I am down 70 lbs as of today.

I started light exercise, mostly treadmill, about 6-8 weeks out from surgery and have slowly been increasing the intensity and adding in strength training.

I weighed 266 lbs when I started the 2 week pre-op diet, weighed 258 lbs the day of surgery, and now weigh 196 lbs. My goal is 150 lbs (I am 5'7") so 46 lbs to go!

I would recommend starting slow with exercise, treadmill for cardio and light strength training for muscle tone. The key for me has been to steadily increase the intensity each week so it doesn't get too easy and my body doesn't get bored. I have also started to mix it up a bit with classes such as boot camp.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions! I know I am not the fastest loser here, but I have lost very steady with no real stalls so I am happy with my progress. Most importantly, I am making changes to my eating and activity that are permanent. Best of luck to you!

Thank you for your response. Did you hire a trainer. I feel like by myself I won't be able to achieve the right success nor will I know if I'm pushing myself too hard or too soft. How did you figure it out.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
