Were U A Dd Cup Prior To Vsg? What Size Are You Now Post Op?

Recommended Posts

I'm just curious. I know everyone's body is different but I'd just like to know iwhat happended to the DD girls out there after surgery. I may be the only person in the world who won't mind at all losing the "girls" after surgery. I'm just a little concerned about how bad they will look. My cousin had Gastric Bypass a few years ago and she was a D cup I believe. Her girls looked horrible when she lost her weight. Just two pieces of skin flapping in the wind. LOL

I'll look forward to losing the double Ds but may have to consider a little enhancement afterward. Nothing close to DD though.

Don't know why the subject line came out like that but it should say "Were you a DD cup prior to surgery".

I am a DD-DDD depending on brand, and as I have lost and gained weight a million times before, mine didn't change size (except I went from a 32DD to a 40DD!) My doctor says this is common for women who developed quite early--their cup size just is what it is. I am excited to get back to my 140-lb 34DD body....but we'll see how I feel when I actually get there. If they're REALLLY not going to shrink in proportion I might end up with a reduction.

I'm down from a DD to a full C cup now, but the girls feel bigger in proportion because my stomach is shrinking.

Well I am still a DD but they are getting alittle saggy. When the time comes I guess I will get them rehung and maybe a refill...

I was a 40 DDD before surgery now im a 38DDD at 8 weeks out, but i was also one of those girls that developed early so even when i weighed less my ladies were always big.. so i don't really expect them to go down to much...and honestly im kind of ok with that.. im sure i will need an augmentation later down the road, but so far they are hangin in there...lol no pun intended.

I was a full C before I became obese...then reached a 40 DD at my peak weight, now I am back to a full C (which I LOVE), but the girls have been to hell and back and would love a lift LOL!

I also developed very early... I was a C cup by the time I got to high school. I've had back and shoulder problems my whole life. I've also been overweight my whole life, and the doctors always told me I had to get within X lbs of my ideal weight before insurance would approve a breast reduction. At the time that made me really angry but having lost a good chunk of weight I can now understand why.

At the time of surgery I was a 42H. I'm still wearing my old bra but it really isn't doing much for me -- I'm procrastinating going bra shopping -- and they have definitely started sagging. In fact, I was looking at my pre-surgery and 7 week photos side by side and I thought to myself, "oh shoot, I didn't wear a bra the second time." I was careful to wear the same clothes and stand in the same position, etc. Then I looked at the same photos of myself undressed and realized that I didn't have bra marks on my shoulders. I wasn't wearing a bra either time! My upper stomach has shrunk to the point where my breasts are at least three inches lower than they used to be, and I still have a ways to go.

I read on this board that when you have WLS, you might start with a 42DD but you end up with a 36 extra-long.

I think I won't have trouble qualifying for a breast reduction this time around :biggrin5:

I was a 40 DD/DDD prior to surgery and I'm at goal and wear a 32/34 D now. That said, the girls ain't pretty! It's not so bad that I can't pull it off in my clothes and still look my normal, busty self. But out of clothes it's rough.

They're not dreadfully saggy but they're just not what I'm used to having. Prior to surgery I could bounce around the house in no bra and nobody would know the difference! Now if I don't wear a bra they're halfway down my chest. :(

Surgery is definitely in my future and my husband is on board with me considering implants as well. I always had large breasts for my frame so I don't think it's unreasonable and I think that if I went with just a lift I'd be unhappy. I may have cursed my large chest many times in the past but the fact is that they sprouted when I was ten and there is no doubt that having a small chest would be a difficult adjustment. I'd like to be a D or a very full C after they're upright and perky again. ;)

With my weight gain I went from a 36DD to a 40H/38I (depending on the brand). One reason I did the WLS was because the plastic surgeon I saw for breast reduction told me that if I did the reduction now, I'd be higher risk of complications (losing nipple, etc) and longer hospital stay. He actually referred me to my WLS doctor. He said, 'Lose the weight, let them deflate, them come back in a year or so and it will be SO MUCH EASIER!" I can't wait!! If I can be a B cup I would be SO HAPPY... they just get in the way with stuff I like to do. I haven't been able to "walk around without a bra" in 20 years. When I sleep at guest's homes, I even where one just to sleep in because I didn't want to risk getting up in the night and running into someone in the halls. I know they'll be ugly, but I'm ready for these things to GO AWAY!

I developed early was a 34 DD in high school then up to a 40 G when carrying my kids, surgery day (12-11-11) was a 48 DDD. Thank God today I am in a 46 D they are a bit saggy but am happy for the weight to be off my back, and I hope to lose more of them. I will have them lifted, filled, and made pretty again after all the weight is gone.

I was a DDD. Now I'm a DD, just a much smaller band (32 instead of a tight 38).

I went from a 42D to a 38B and somehow they are still kind of perky! Hoping the last 15lbs all come right from my thighs!

I wish for a B cup. Pre-Surgery I was a D. They are now a C and not saggy. The only saggy I'm going to have is below my C-section.

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
