Surgery On Monday!

I have my surgery on Monday YIKES. I am trying to get all prepared. Things I have already gotten which I got from reading the post from beautiful people like you! Gas x strips, sugar free popsicles, Sugar free Jello, Crystal lite and chocolate Protein shake from Sams club. I am super nervous and tad bit scared but Im so ready. Please let me know if there is anything you suggest I should get for the hosptial and afterwards.

Thank you! Good Luck to you also sleeve sister.

Go to the Forums "Home" page and then go to the Pre-op threads and look at the very first one. It's a list of things you might need along with many others' input on what they have needed. Very helpful post.

God Bless you on your way...

im being sleeved on monday too! yayyyyy, more sleeve buddies. besides all the things you have listed, i also bought chicken and beef broth and the RTD isopure drinks (looks like gatorade) w/ 40 grams of protein. good luck and keep us posted on how the surgery goes :biggrin2:

Thank you all! RTD ? Were did you buy that at? Sounds like that would be good!

RTD - ready to drink. I bought mine off of bodybuilder.com because that was the cheapest site I could find it on. You have to buy a case but you might want to go to a local GNC store and try one to see if you like the taste

I'm a Monday sleever too! I've spent the entire day cleaning the hell out of my house so that it won't be too bad (hopefully!) when I get home!

I got some Protein shots (2.7oz- Bought 'em at Target in a box of 6) for that beginning post op time when it's hard to get the protein in. I want to be able to get in all of my protein from the very beginning without having to drink full 11oz drinks that may or may not make me want to puke!

Goodness, look at all of the soon to be sleever's come Monday, good luck to all of you! Something I found really soothing was a heating pad. I used it on my tummy and it just felt so good.

good luck to all of you who are being sleeved on Monday, i wish you all the success in the world, and remember that the 1st few days will be worth the long term results. the vanilla, cafe mocha protein shakes from walmart pretty good. just be careful about buying stuff with alot of protein. i found that anything over 14-16 grams in a small container, usually the size of a protein bar or 11oz tastes awful. for the pureed portion of the diet, i froze soups or blended food in ice cube tray and took a couple out for meals, it worked especially when returning to work, because they thawed by lunch time.good luck ladies :aureola:
