As my screen name states, I love shoes. I have more than I want to count, and I have a few that are very beautiful and expensive. At my current size, all I can do right now is gaze at them with longing, because if I wear them I would be in pain. But I want to know if anyone has had to buy new shoes in smaller sizes because of their weight loss.

I wouldn't mind wearing a smaller size, because I am currently a size 11, and its hard to find cute shoes in that size. But I have a few pairs that I would hate to have to give up.

Good question. We should be sisters because my love for shoes is right up there with the love of food. After Christmas I went to DSW and came home with 4 bags of hot shoes. I'm hoping I can wear my shoes because I would hate to let them go...

I was wearing a size 8 1/2 wide, now I am back in a 7 1/2 Regular- so your feet will definately get smaller. SOO many cute shoes in 7 1/2 regular- I think I have transferred my addiction! lol

Wow...I wondered about this very concern last night. I had noticed as I had gained weight that my feet seemed to get bigger, but it did cross my mind lst night about this. I was always a 6.5, and went up to a 7.5 or 8 depending on the shoe. I have noticed definitely bra size, and pants are now very loose, and I still have a way to go.

I went from a size 12W to an 11 regular (I'm 6'2", so foot length is proportionate, LOL!). I still wear some of my 12's; I love them, and I just wear thicker socks or use little inserts to take up some of the room at the heel. I can't wear the wides any more because I walk out of them. :-) I've taken this as a sign that it's okay to go shoe shopping. YAY!!!

I've gone down 1.5 in size on a lot of brands. But I don't think it's just my weight loss but an overall re-sizing of products. I was this same weight 10 or 11 years ago and the smallest size I could wear was an 18w. Now I'm in regular size 16. At this pace in 10 more years I'll be a size 6 w/out losing another inch.

Yes and it drove me nuts! All my old shoes had to go. I went from an 8-8 1/2 down to a 7.

OOOHHHHHHH That's one of the things I can't WAIT for!!!!! I wear a 10ww, and let me tell you, finding shoes is IMPOSSIBLE!! When I do find them, they are unaffordable. When I was small, I wore a 9 regular. I would be thrilled to pieces!! 33 days to go!

Before I gained a lot of weight I wore an 8.5 shoe, then I went up to a size 9 and when I was at my highest weight the 9s were tight on me. Now I'm back down to 8.5 for most shoes.

to look at my feet I would not have thought I had much fat there.. but after losing only 40 pounds, I am having my heels (pumps) slip off my heel as I walk. I had to go buy those cushion things to put on the heel to keep from slipping.

Since I have a big foot since I was in 8th grade (size 10) I wouldn't mind losing a little there!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
