Seeking Buddies 5'2" & Under

Recommended Posts

I'm 5'1" and had surgery on 7/22/17. My starting weight was 226 & I'm currently at 170, battling a stall for the past 6 weeks. :( At 7 months out, I really thought it would be easier still, but I'm starting to see how hard it's going to be for me.

For the most part, yes. I went to mexico on self pay, so the most info you get is some papers & an email address. I hit a lot of stalls along the way and adjusted my calories a bit (with the nut via email) to get out of it, but it's frustrating and lawd knows Im impatient! LOL My dr set me at 135 by april of this year...i'm 170 currently and i dont see that happening but that's ok.

I still eat low/almost no carbs and high Protein but I can eat more than I would have thought & definitely more than most other people I know who have had the surgery. I never had any issues eating or drinking after the surgery but it's still less than before! I'm trying to get back into smaller and smaller meals/snacks at the moment.

I'm totally stalled too and have been for like 6 weeks. I lost 18lbs the first two weeks and then nearly nothing since. I'm doing what I need to do but it's really bumming me out:(

Hi everyone! I'm also in what seems like a stall, have been floating in the 160's since October, one day I'm down a couple of pounds and the next it seems they never left, but I haven't eaten anything that would cause this, I also think my scale is funky because I can weigh myself and move the scale a couple of inches and moving it either added or took away almost 10 lbs...Anyone dealing with a funky scale? Btw, just replaced my scale with a digital that allows programming for weight, Water and body fat ( had a dial type model) and both change in the same way..,am a little confused and lost about the shifting weights

anything worth doing is Never easy [emoji3]

Hi I had gastric sleeve surgery July 27 of last year! I am 61 years old. Best thing I have ever done. Had a few hiccups along the way but still worth it! I am Dow 80 plus pounds. The weight loss is slowing down but I am fine with that. I have more energy than I have had in years. I don't weigh myself every day more like twice a month. I know what got me into my "food" situation and will do everything I can to learn from my past. Good luck to all of you to a healthier future! That is truly what it is all about. Feel free to message me if you want me to share my experience with you, or if you have any questions![emoji847]

Hi gang I am 4' 10" and being short is a real challenge with weight. I had my sleeve surgery 8/8/2011 I initially lost 50 pounds then leveled off at 46 pound loss. I have gained about 15 pounds over the last couple years, it is completely my own fault by eating things I know not to eat and falling into some old bad habits. Not watching my portions and eating all the junk foods again. I am trying to find a way to get my head back in the game because it is all a matter of my own bad habits and not the surgery. The surgery was a great success and I am completely happy with it. Any words of wisdom to get myself into the proper mode of thinking would be appreciated.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
