My late great cat "Mouse"

Recommended Posts

My Jeter is offically been placed to rest in the ground. I think the landscapers think I am nuts now. I said a few words to him, told him I loved him and that he would be forever in my heart. I poured his ashes into the hole and had the landscapers place the tree in. Then I watered it and said a little chant for him to grow and become part of the tree. It was bitter sweet but it finally gave me closure. I miss him but I also know that he will live on.

I am very glad I chose cremation after what happend to Emmett. I couldn't bear it if my precious Mouse was disturbed after burial. I also need to do something special with at least one of his blankets. In the picture of him he is laying on one. I cut a large blanket down to small blankets I could wash and always have a clean one for him. He loved his blankets. I would put it in the center of the couch. When I would sit down by him I would pull the blanket with him on it until our sides touched. I could tell he loved it because that is when he would start the love paws. Maybe I should burn one and put it in the box...does that sound weird?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
