Why The Concern All Of A Sudden?

Recommended Posts

This post really hits home. I have lost 93 pounds since April. I also get the "Are you feeling okay?" question from people which I also think is codespeak for "Do you have cancer?" I have comments from people nearly every day, particularly from people who have not seen me for a while. On the whole, people have been very supportive. No one has said anything about it being "the easy way out" at least not to my face. I also have to chuckle at those who tell me how tiny I am given that I am still 35lbs overweight! All the comments are nice, but I usually try to say Thanks quickly and get on to the task at hand. Last night I attended a work party. Someone who I had not seen in several months made a point to seek me out. She said others in her department told her to make sure to check me out since I had changed so much. I wasn't quite sure how to take that comment. I will admit, I am not comfortable with all the attention. I think part of the reason I was overweight in the first place was to insulate myself from everyone else. Hmmmm.....better think more on that.

Yesterday I went to the mall with a friend. This girl thinks she knows everything. She goes out of her way to tell me that the sweater I was wearing needed something underneath and that my bra is too big. Told me I shouldn't loose anymore weight or I'd be too skinny. I am by no means too skinny, I am still 25 lbs over weight. I just know that she is threatened by me in every way that counts and that my weight loss has added to her insecurity. She even went out of her way to tell me the way she eats (totally unhealthy) and that she has even lost 7lbs. Totally amazed with a big smile. her problem not mine.... I'm totally happy...... banane58.gif

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
