Getting Sick Everytime I Eat No Matter What It Is.

We need more information. When did you have surgery?

If you are dehydrated, you will feel nauseous. You should call your doctor.

Yes, more info, please, or we can't help!

If you're early out try warm liquids, and remember slow, small sips will do the trick. And yes, Oregondaisy is right (as usual!) that dehydration will cause you to feel ill no matter what else you put in your body. If you can't handle cool Water, try room temp or add some Crystal Light and see if it will go down easier that way.

Yup, how long since surgery. Not unusual early out and tolerance builds over time.

Cheri, 104 lbs good job, you look great, definitely a head turner.

I didn't experience this until I was 3 weeks out. My doctor advised me to skip the Protein Drink in the morning and start with a warm liquid drink with spacing my pills every 10 min. Then an hour later have my Breakfast. He prescibed an RX but the thing that helped me thru it was sucking on ginger mints. I tried several but the ones that worked the best were Newman's own at Amazon. They have others like Altoids and you can read the reviews. It seemed to get better after I got my Protein from solids but I occasionally get a little and pop the mint. Hope you get some relief soon.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
