December sleevers!

I've been seeing a lot of people who now have December surgery dates, just wanted to say HI, and give us a place to talk while we wait (and count down the days) for our surgeries.

My surgery is on December 9, 2011;

My doctor is Justin Braverman from the N.E.W. Program in Newport Beach, CA;

I start my pre-op liquid diet on November 25th;

And will be sleeved at Tri-city hospital in Hawaiian Gardens, CA.

What about everyone else?

December 28th is the beginning of my new life as a sleever! I'm having my surgery at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY by the fabulous Dr. Weiss. Cheers to a great New Year everyone (I'll be toasting with a protein shake)!

Hey Beyon,,Dr Weiss is my doctor too! I'm getting sleeved in Georgetown on the 27th! Good luck and keep me posted.

Just started my one-week pre-op on Tuesday. So far, is isn't so bad! I surprisingly have more energy than before (most likely because I was having a food funeral for the past 3 weeks), and I'm really not that hungry. I miss eating, but thats about it!

Roxyrooster, No I have not had any caffeine for a long time, so i guess it is just an adjustment. I will get over the headaches soon i hope!

Anyone getting sleeved on December 14th? Only 6 more days til my sleeve! YAY!

My preop diet is not low calorie, but is low carb. I have felt weird... like my legs feel heavy, just super low energy. I guess that is why i have never been able to do low carb for very long, i just don't feel great. I know I can maintain it to my surgery (Monday!!!) but I am worried about how I am going to feel post op considering how lousy I feel right now.

My preop is doing better than I thought. I went to the mall today and took with me in a small cooler the Protein Plus premixed drinks from Costco (very good) and a sugar free jello. I drank a bottle of water on the way there and to home, now I am having my Unjury chicken broth. I guess this proves we can really survive without eating all the time! I can't wait til I am on the soft foods stage so i can puree some soups. What is the average people lose during the preop? Anyone know?

Good Luck tomorrow Babiegirl and all others who are going to be sleeved! I will meet you on the looser's bench soon!

Yayayay! Today is December 1st and the first of our DECEMBER SLEEVERS start TODAY! Good luck everyone!

Good luck and blessings to you for your big day tomorrow, babigrl111!!! Saving room for you on the loser's bench!
