  1. Sorry I didnt reply sooner Deb, I just saw your question. I did have a severe erosion. 90% of my band eroded inside my stomach. I had no infection that I was aware of. I had no idea I had eroded and no symptoms other than being able to eat without any restriction.
  2. I had a severe erosion and I had to wait 6 months. Do not be impatient, even after waiting 6 months I still had some complications. After an erosion your chances of complications are much greater. I recovered from the complications and have lost 80 pounds and am only 15 pounds from goal. Follow your doctors advice. Goodluck!
  3. I had a ng tube and drain, the leak fixed itself. It was a very hard time during the leak, but its beggining to pay off!!!
  4. I had a badly eroded band,90% of the band was inside my stomach. I had to wait 6 months before I could have vsg surgery after the band was removed. The risk of complications are much higher after an erosion.I did have a leak after my revision. That doesnt mean you will.I would do it again in an instance to get the same results. 70 lbs in 6 months. Good luck to you! Donnie
  5. I was sleeved on 12/27/11 after having the band for 8 years, I lost a total of 60 pounds in those 8 years with the band. Ive lost 70 pounds in 7 months with the sleeve. To me the sleeve is completely different, I dont have the hunger I use to have with the band and even when I do get hungry it only takes a small amout of food before Im satified. With the band it seemed like after I couldnt eat anymore I was still hungry. Not to mention the sliming, barfing and deer in the headlight feelings you have after every meal with the band. My biggest regret is not knowing about the sleeve/getting the sleeve 8 years ago!!!
  6. mine never worked, i gave up....lol
  7. gasX is a lifesaver just after surgery.
  8. I was also a first time flier and first timer out of the country. It would be odd if you wrent scared/concerned. I certainly was, but I can assure you its not that difficult. If theres anything in particular you need to know ask away, Im sure anyone here would be glad to answer.
  9. Mine always fall off when I go clubbing.....lol Just kidding.
  10. I went to Mexico, had complications and insurance paid for the aftercare, cant say they knew why,but they didnt ask questions. Dont ask dont tell
  11. http://www.unjury.com/store/protein/ I love the chocolate splendor. Taste like chocolate milk.
  12. Test showed that I have gall stones. Having another this week to check function of the gall bladder to see if it has to be removed.
  13. Living in Louisiana, I loved all things spicey, now after the sleeve surgery I cant tolerate nearly the spice that I use to. Doesnt taste the same and the sleeve isnt happy, indegestion, heartburn ect....
  14. You may be able to eat the same type of food, but not the same amount. I was trying to make a funny!
  15. It happens, the IV fluid takes a while to get out of the system, but dont be surprised if you lose 10 pounds in a week
  16. If the surgery is successful, you will never eat as before!
  17. It normally takes about 12-14 weeks for a leak to heal on its own. Mine was about 12 weeks. Its a tuff ordeal, but I would also do it again to get the results I have from the surgery. As far as who does the surgery, do your homework! Every surgeon with experience has had a leak, it just happens. If they say they never had one, that means they have no experience! I wouldnt want to be thier first leak because they wouldnt know how to handle it! For those that have or had a leak, I pray for you but hang in there it will get better.
  18. Its not as bad as the thought of it coming out. Really doesnt hurt.
  19. I was sleeved 4 months ago and have lost 60 pounds, seems like a couple weeks ago I started having alot of gas pains after eating. Ive tried to eliminate foods that normally cause gas, but it really doesnt seem to matter what I eat. Ill eat and get nausiated and will have some terrible gas pains. Also Ive had diarrhea off and on since this started. Has anyone else had these issues after being sleeved? Any ideas what it may be? I have a appointment with the doctor this week, hopefully he will figure it out.
  20. I was sleeved 12/27 and Im down about 55 pounds + or - 2 pounds. I couldnt be happier with the results so far. Ive gone from a tight xxl shirt to a large, a tight 44 pants to loose 40's in just 3 months. Frumpy I dont understand the regrets, youve lost 49 pound in just over 3 months. Thats great results. Please dont get the mindset that the losing is over because its not! Everyone goes thru stalls, some short and some longer, if you continue to follow the rules you will see results.
  21. Anyone have Lasik surgery in Mexico, Im seriously considering it and woud like to see if anyone has any experience with this, surgeon, prices ect..... Thanks, Don
  22. Have you told Nina what airline you are flying? If not you need to. The driver will pick you up at the baggage claim terminal for your airline. Most likely he will be in a small silver van, he may not be outside the van so just watch for any van that may be holding a sign up with your name.
  23. tried this today, very good! Next time I will use less lime in the burger, 1 whole lime added alot of limeness....lol I also added some adobe sauce to the sauce, I love the smokey flavor, This sauce would be great on fish tacos also! Thanks for the recipe and I will make them again.
