  1. 12/27 Will be two years for me. Been at goal for almost a year. Best decision I ever made was to get the sleeve. started at 255 and current weight is 152 HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY
  2. I was banded in 2003 and sleeved in Dec. 2011 I lost about 70 pounds with the band in 2-3 years but had all kinds of problems with the band. I had the tube replaced, the port replaced then the whole system replaced only to have an erosion. Ive had the sleeve less than a year and have lost almost 90 pounds, Im less than 5 pounds from my goal weight. The sleeve to me was worth every dime!! You wont be disappointed.
  3. Looking good Favoredone. Good job. We all lose differently but the best part is we are all losing.
  4. You are very welcome. Just remember,we are all indivisuals, some people lose faster, some people would kill to lose 52 pounds in 5 months. There will be ups and downs, some stalls and some weeks where you may lose 8-10 pounds, if you follow the rules...get your Protein in first and all the Water requirements you will get there. Personally I think whatever you are doing is working! You look great. Be patient, it will happen.
  5. Congrats girl. Great job. We both had a ruff start but thank God we overcame.
  6. So you have been sleeved about 5 months and have lost 52 pounds and you consider that failure? That rate is over 100 pounds a year. That sounds pretty successful to me. Dont be hard on yourself,we all have days when we eat to much, theres always tomorrow to get back on track. Follow the rules and you will get there. Good luck to you.
  7. Sorry I didnt reply sooner Deb, I just saw your question. I did have a severe erosion. 90% of my band eroded inside my stomach. I had no infection that I was aware of. I had no idea I had eroded and no symptoms other than being able to eat without any restriction.
  8. I had a severe erosion and I had to wait 6 months. Do not be impatient, even after waiting 6 months I still had some complications. After an erosion your chances of complications are much greater. I recovered from the complications and have lost 80 pounds and am only 15 pounds from goal. Follow your doctors advice. Goodluck!

  10. 48 Years old, turning 49 in Oct. Healthier now than I ever remember being, had surgery in Mexico on 12/27/11 and have lost 80 pounds. Still a single guy,but Im ready to see if that will change
  11. Great seeing the results from us December sleevers. Great job and hope it continues until we reach goal. I was sleeved on 12/27 I had some major complications but Im happy to say that Im 100% over them and Ive losted 80 pounds. I started this journey at 262 pounds and Im now 180 + or - 2 pounds....lol It has been a total life changer for me. My only regret is not having VSG surgery sooner. Donnie
  12. I had a ng tube and drain, the leak fixed itself. It was a very hard time during the leak, but its beggining to pay off!!!
  13. I had a badly eroded band,90% of the band was inside my stomach. I had to wait 6 months before I could have vsg surgery after the band was removed. The risk of complications are much higher after an erosion.I did have a leak after my revision. That doesnt mean you will.I would do it again in an instance to get the same results. 70 lbs in 6 months. Good luck to you! Donnie
  14. I was sleeved on 12/27/11 after having the band for 8 years, I lost a total of 60 pounds in those 8 years with the band. Ive lost 70 pounds in 7 months with the sleeve. To me the sleeve is completely different, I dont have the hunger I use to have with the band and even when I do get hungry it only takes a small amout of food before Im satified. With the band it seemed like after I couldnt eat anymore I was still hungry. Not to mention the sliming, barfing and deer in the headlight feelings you have after every meal with the band. My biggest regret is not knowing about the sleeve/getting the sleeve 8 years ago!!!

  19. Mine always fall off when I go clubbing.....lol Just kidding.
  20. I went to Mexico, had complications and insurance paid for the aftercare, cant say they knew why,but they didnt ask questions. Dont ask dont tell
  21. http://www.unjury.com/store/protein/ I love the chocolate splendor. Taste like chocolate milk.
  22. Test showed that I have gall stones. Having another this week to check function of the gall bladder to see if it has to be removed.
  23. Single sleever here in Lousiana. Been that way for a while but kinda looking forward to changing that! For most of my life I didnt like me, so I didnt expect anyone else to. Thats beggining to change.
  24. Living in Louisiana, I loved all things spicey, now after the sleeve surgery I cant tolerate nearly the spice that I use to. Doesnt taste the same and the sleeve isnt happy, indegestion, heartburn ect....
