Compression Garments

Recommended Posts

I have my date sent for Nov 30, the problem is that I'm having questions regarding the extra skin. I'm young and my skin still has some give to it, now i have been reading a lot about how people have used compression garments to help give them a nice figure prior to have any surgery at all so i was thinking if I were to use compression garments the ones they use like after full body Lipo and the ones the use for there arms after surgery also do u think that will help alot with the extra skin and my skin tighten, I have heard that using sulfur soap and dsmo (what every that is) also helps so if anyone has and ideas please let me know.

I haven't had mine yet, still completing all the requirements, but I am planning on doing the garments and also I am going to try the "IT Works" Body wraps,I heard they work great for tightening up the skin and taking off inches! biggrin.gif I'm still fairly young,25,but I have kids and all and have about 130 to lose so I am very worried about extra skin...

If you are going to lose a lot of weight fast save the money, the garments will not stop the sagging skin from coming. You were the compression clothing after to keep things together. With exercise and the compression wear (I like Under Armour) I show a good form.

How do you think molding the skin is going to help once you lose 40 pounds quick? Being younger, you skin will have a little more elasticity but still you will have loose skin. Think of it like soft ear plugs, once you pull them out they puff back out.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
