Getting Pregant After having the Sleeve done...

Hello Everyone,

I'm new on here and I am planning on having my surgery in February. I have a 2 yr old daughter and plan for another child in the future. Have any of you women been pregnant since your surgery? Was there any complications? Did you gain a lot of weight? Im curious to know....

Thanks,

Adrienne

I am also curious to know, we plan on trying in a year or so. I am one month out. My doctor has had many sleeve patients get pregnant and have a successful pregnancy.

There is a woman who is a mentor to a lot of people on this forum - her screen name is Tiffykins. She has lost and maintained her weight, and is now about mid-way into her pregnancy. She has done a lot of research on pregnancy and VSG,. She would be a great resource for you to correspond with. You could find her and send her a private message, if she doesn't happen to see your post.

If you browse Tiffykins' posts you'll find lots of pregnancy-related info. My surgeon recommends waiting at least 18 months post-op before getting pregant.
